First of all, I would like to say that the Pope and Patriach of the See of St. Mark is correctly addressed as Pope Shenouda III, not Shenouda. If you do not agree with his ideas, at least respect his old age. I would like to say that His Holiness is doing the best job he can in controlling Christians in Egypt, better than anybody else can. With all the persecution and murder and atrocities happening in Egypt, what the Pope is doing what, whatever it be, is the best for HIS people. God has endowed him with wisdom and chosen him as Patriarch for a reason. Neither you or me or anybody else on the face of this earth has the right to deny that. Islam has the same core values, infact the same core and superficial values as the Coptic Orthodox faith. All men of God in Egypt are under pressure and persecuted, regardless of fiath. The pressure is especially evident on the men that lead the two faiths ie The pope and the Mufti of Egypt. It is often the case that these men will act on the interest of the Egyption government in decreasing the risks of riots etc. Sharia law does not descriminate against Christians and women. Please do your research. Lastly, if I was to be led by a man I would want him to be a man that would stand up for what is just and not for what suits his groups agenda. There is nothing wrong about him publicly stating that the Al Aqsa mosque should be in the control of Muslims. We are but one people.We have alot in common. Our faiths overlap so much in so many areas, and we pray to the same god. I ask of you not to take Islam as the problem.
